Job Description:

You will join our team supporting Platform One's Party Bus, a managed DevSecOps Platform as a Service (PaaS) designed for Department of Defense (DoD) organizations. This platform facilitates rapid and secure software development, deployment, and delivery across various security levels (Impact Levels 2, 4, 5, and 6).

Required Qualifications:

Experience: 1-2 years in DevOps or Software Engineering; previous exposure to DoD environments is a plus.

Certification: IAT Level I certification (e.g., CompTIA Security+ or equivalent). Support provided to achieve IAT Level II certification.

Key Responsibilities & Skills:

Coding & Automation:

Programming: Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python, Go, or Java. Willingness to enhance automation skills.

  • CI/CD Pipelines: Basic understanding of CI/CD principles and exposure to tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or CircleCI
  • Version Control: Experience with Git (branching and merging), and familiarity with GitHub or GitLab.

Infrastructure & Configuration Management:

Terraform: Basic knowledge or exposure to Terraform for infrastructure provisioning; willingness to expand these skills.

Ansible: Introduction-level familiarity with Ansible and configuration management principles.

Kubernetes (K8s): Basic awareness of Kubernetes concepts and openness to learn more about container orchestration and Helm.

Containers: Familiarity with Docker and containerization; eagerness to develop practical skills

Cloud Technologies:

Cloud Providers: Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure is advantageous; interested in expanding experience with DoD-specific clouds like AWS GovCloud or Azure Government.

Automation: Interest in Kubernetes Operators for cloud-based deployment automation.

Cybersecurity & Compliance:

Security Automation: Awareness of security practices and exposure to tools like Twistlock, Aqua, or Anchore.

DoD Compliance: Basic understanding of DoD cybersecurity compliance and Risk Management Framework (RMF) principles; opportunities provided for further learning and involvement.
