Job Summary

Performs a wide variety of electromechanical production subassembly and assembly operations of a semiskilled nature to disassemble and assemble difficult and complex units in a repetitive environment. Assist the area supervisor in day-to-day operations of the group and will fill in during the Supervisor's absence.

Essential Functions
  • Assembles, disassembles, modifies, reworks, refurbishes and tests units where operations and sequences are specified by established documentation.
  • Identifies and selects components to be integrated into subassembly and assembly units.
  • Operate basic electronic test equipment such as volt meters Hi-pot and leakage May perform routine tasks in preparation for assembly such as cutting wire to specified size, stripping, tinning or bending wire parts, wiring and fastening terminal connections.
  • Set up and operates automatic and semiautomatic assembly equipment

Required/Preferred Education and Experience
  • High School Trade School Graduate or equivalent required
  • Generally, more than 5 years of related experience required

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Must be able to read and understand assembly documentation, blueprints and/or wire lists.
  • Must be familiar with general computer operation.
  • May be required to perform basic soldering of PTH and SMT assemblies IPC Soldering Certification a plus
  • Must be able to read, write, speak and comprehend English QSR experience a plus

Physical Demands
  • Must be able to lift 35 pounds
  • Must be able to use small hand tools such as soldering irons, wire strippers, crimpers, wrenches, screwdrivers and pliers.
