How you will impact Ingevity:

  • Process payroll to ensure completeness, accuracy and timeliness of payments. This includes gross to net processing for hourly and salaried employees as well as reconciliations, audits, and internal reporting for all pay groups.
  • Partner with a 3rd party vendor in payroll administration around data input requests, garnishment notices, tax notices, tax rate changes, and payroll settlement)
  • Troubleshoot any payroll errors/issues
  • Work with 3rd Party Vendor to process quarterly tax filings and amendments
  • Manage the internal payroll mailbox with focus on high level employee experience
  • Oversee Kronos configuration of employee timecard setup and pay rule calculations
  • Foster communication and teamwork within and across organizational boundaries

What you need to succeed:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a progressive-enterprise payroll function with knowledge of end-to-end process, financial systems and regulatory compliance.
  • Experience in Workday's payroll
  • Experience in Kronos and/or UKG's Workforce Pro for time keeping.
  • Demonstrated familiarity with processing payroll for hourly employees in a union.
  • Experience partnering with3rd party service providers
  • Ability to drive and maintain standardization, process integrity and process improvements through change leadership and collaboration
  • Understanding with end-to-end payroll process and related best practices
  • Knowledge of financial systems and the ability to use Microsoft Office products
  • Ability to meet strict deadlines and excellent customer service skills
  • Good analytical, written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to address employee needs and resolve problems
  • Ability to plan work effectively
  • This position is not eligible for relocation assistance.
