Enbridge is actively seeking a Project Management Specialist. This dynamic person will be responsible for. The Specialist Project Management is responsible for overall management for assigned Major Projects and for predictable and competitive delivery on scope, schedule, safety, environment, quality, and financial objectives. Reports to Manager of Projects. Will be expected to provide reports and presentations to Director of Projects and VP of Major Projects. Frequent interaction with the leadership of the following internal functional groups that support assigned projects, to ensure the project objectives are achieved: Safety, ROW, Environmental Permitting, Government Affairs, Community and Indigenous Engagement, Regulatory Affairs, Supply Chain Management, Business Development, Operations, Engineering, Construction Management. Will meet with external parties that are impacted by the project or will provide authorizations for the project. These include local municipalities, State and Federal agencies, Public Open Houses, and individual landowners. - Establish a safe, healthy work environment for employees and contractors by driving accountability for safety performance and by regularly reviewing and communicating policies, practices, expectations and positive
reporting. - Minimize the environmental impact of project activities with accountability for environmental compliance and practices as well as role modeling personal environmental responsibility.
- Actively participate in development and management of the scope of work, schedule, costs and risks of assigned major projects to ensure the project plan can be successfully executed
- Understand and effectively use established project management systems and project management practices to achieve positive scope, schedule, quality and cost results and lead and mitigate risks on each project
- Actively monitor and report on the performance of assigned major project, using key performance indicators, and taking the vital actions to correct adverse situations or trends.
Required:
University degree in an applicable field, or related engineering, construction, operational or project management training and experience. 10+ years of progressively responsible related experience in the pipeline industry, with 5+ years actively engaged in project management. Solid understanding of project management methods and techniques, PMP certification or equivalent is a plus. Passion for upholding Enbridge's core values of Safety, Integrity, Respect, Inclusion and High Performance along with our ways of working. Able to travel domestically and internationally. Hold a valid driver's license.
Preferred:
Proven leadership and management capability, including organizational and planning skills. Calm, quick decision making under intense conditions and making disciplined decisions in the face of uncertainty.
Working Conditions:
Predominantly an office environment. Significant travel required during key times during project phases (Permitting, Construction, Commissioning, Close out). Will require frequent travel to the project location during construction. Company paid international relocation is not offered for this role. Grasping, kneeling, light - moderate lifting (objects up to 20 pounds), reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, typing, sitting, standing, visual requirement (able to see screens, detect color coding, read fine print), hearing requirement and the ability to sit at a computer for long periods of time.
