OVERVIEW:

Join the innovative Chefs of the Mills culinary team within the General Mills' North American Food Service Division as a Brand Experience Chef. In this role, you'll support the execution of our culinary content strategy, working closely with Corporate Chefs and our Senior Planner to bring creative concepts to life.

Your focus will be on managing projects, ensuring authentic back-of-house representation, and coordinating cross-functional efforts to deliver compelling culinary content that resonates with foodservice operators.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Content Creation & Recipe Development:

  • Create culinary content for photo and video shoots
  • Develop and verify recipes to meet General Mills' foodservice guidelines
  • Test recipes across various oven types to ensure consistency and reliability
  • Write scripts for video shoots
  • Provide culinary expertise and insights during the content creation process

Production Support:

  • Attend photo and video shoots to maintain back-of-house authenticity
  • Set up, bake, and clean up for video and photo shoots
  • Order necessary products for shoots and recipe testing
  • Collaborate with senior corporate Chef and senior brand experience planner to deliver best-in-class content
  • Support the management of the culinary center and studio organization

Quality Assurance:

  • Ensure recipe compliance with website standards
  • Verify recipe accuracy, yield, and operational feasibility
  • Maintain brand standards across all content
  • Test and validate recipes in different foodservice environments
  • Document and standardize best practices

General Culinary team support

  • Attend cross-functional meetings as directed and participate in cross-functional project teams as directed. Support various field sales activities.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Associate's Degree in Culinary Arts or other related fields
  • 2+ years of back-of-house culinary experience with some baking experience
  • Strong recipe testing and verification capabilities
  • Basic food styling knowledge and understanding of food photography/ videography
  • Clear communicator with experience in recipe writing and testing
  • Knowledge of foodservice operations and understanding of operators' needs
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at the same time with strong attention to detail and time management
  • Knowledge of food safety standards

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Ability to create and write recipes

Salary Range



The salary range for this position is $63600.00 - $95500.00 / Annually.
