ASCO is in search of a high-performing and enthusiastic Program Coordinator to join the Education department. The successful hire will be responsible for providing program coordination and support to ASCO Annual Meeting committees in the planning, design, development, implementation, evaluation, and facilitation of the Annual Meeting.

This position is hybrid with a primary location in Alexandria, VA. We anticipate the hire to be onsite approximately 2 days per week.
Responsibilities
- Lead education planning calls and assist members of the Education committee in the development of educational programming for the Annual Meeting.
- Lead scientific orientation and abstract placement calls. Assist the Scientific Program committee and serve as a main point of contact regarding online abstract grading, abstract placement discussions, and the development of committee materials and presentation files.
- Coordinate and execute the scheduling of planning calls for education and scientific committee tracks throughout the yearly planning cycle.
- Serve as customer service lead for Annual Meeting Team by co-managing the Abstract and Speaker phone and e-mail accounts. Support customer service efforts for other ASCO meetings as needed.
- Work with the Annual Meeting team members to execute the faculty invitation and replacement processes for the science and education programs. Additionally, coordinate travel and hotel for committee meetings, including arrangements for ASCO Leadership.
- Provide support for databases, websites, meeting applications, and online tools in a timely manner.
- Assist with the development of program planning and onsite meeting goals, agendas, and logistics and provide onsite staff support in Faculty and Presenter Registration office and Poster Desk at Annual Meeting and other meetings as requested.
- Assist with the development of faculty engagement/evidence-based education resources and guides for Annual Meeting committee members, faculty, and abstract presenters.
Required Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent training or equivalent years of related work experience
- 2 - 3 year of related administrative support experience, preferably in a nonprofit environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
Preferred Education and Experience
- Experience in nonprofits, education, and/or healthcare
- Experience in event preparation including, material coordination, logistical set up and expense reimbursements
