*A National Credit Union based out of Oregon is interested in hiring a BSA Specialist to their team in Hillsboro, Oregon! This is a hybrid opportunity requiring 1-2 days onsite per week. *
*Description* * Review and investigate AML alerts, referrals, and cases and escalating issues in accordance with regulatory standards and internal procedures * Ensure all Currency Transaction Reports (CTR's) are completed and filed within regulatory reporting time frames * Triage Watch List alerts, including OFAC and 314(a) and escalated potential Watch List matches from member-facing and back-office staff * Conduct investigations of potential Watch List matches and determine whether transactions must be blocked, rejected, or otherwise reported to governmental agencies * Research requirements of the BSA and related laws and regulations, including OFAC sanctions programs * Assist with Customer Due Diligence processes and reviews, as required * Identify and communicate gaps in procedures or processes, * Organize, analyze, interpret, and communicate data, as required *Skills & Qualifications* * Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree is preferred * Minimum 1 year experience in the financial services industry * Basic knowledge of external research tools, red flags for money laundering and knowledge of banking laws and regulations concerning money laundering, BSA, and the USA PATRIOT Act is preferred * Ability to work autonomously to manage time effectively and prioritize work appropriately to meet deadlines * Strong business communication skills; able to write/speak clearly and professionally for a variety of audiences *Pay and Benefits* The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $26.00/hr.
