Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Senior Business Analyst to support our contract logistics operations. This role involves gathering, documenting, and analyzing business and technical requirements, mapping process flows, preparing solution design documents, and managing incident and change management backlogs. The ideal candidate will act as a liaison between business stakeholders, subject matter experts (SMEs), and technical teams, ensuring efficient communication and performance tracking for their node.

The successful candidate must be flexible, self-motivated, well-organized, and detail-oriented, with experience in a fast-paced third-party logistics environment. They must possess strong relationship-building skills and the ability to work effectively across multiple levels of the organization, as well as function well within a team context. Additionally, the candidate should have a strong desire to develop application software expertise and a passion for assisting business users in maximizing the use of date from WMS applications. Patience, innovation, and persistence in overcoming resistance to change are essential.

This role requires continuous documentation, support issues and resolutions, user feedback, and frequently asked questions. The candidate should also have the confidence to challenge legacy documentation processes, encourage industry best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

Requirements Gathering & Documentation

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, SMEs, and technical teams to capture and define business and technical requirements.
  • Document detailed business requirements (BRD) and functional specifications (FSD) for system enhancements and process improvements.
  • Ensure requirements are well-documented, structured, and traceable throughout the project lifecycle.

Process Mapping & Solution Design

  • Develop and maintain process flow diagrams, workflow documentation, and use case scenarios.
  • Assist in designing optimized business solutions by translating business needs into technical design documents (TDDs).
  • Work closely with developers and architects to ensure alignment with business objectives.

Incident & Change Management

  • Track, prioritize, and manage incident and change request backlogs.
  • Act as a key point of contact for change management processes, ensuring that all changes are assessed, documented, and approved.
  • Work closely with IT teams to ensure timely resolution of incidents and communicate updates to stakeholders.

Performance Monitoring & Reporting

  • Collect and analyze performance data from squads/nodes to generate insightful reports.
  • Provide regular performance updates to leadership and stakeholders, ensuring visibility into key metrics and trends.
  • Work with SMEs and process/technical team members to ensure data accuracy and relevance.

Communication & Stakeholder Management

  • Facilitate communication between business users, technical teams, and leadership to ensure alignment on project goals and priorities.
  • Conduct regular stakeholder meetings to gather feedback, share progress updates, and address concerns.
  • Assist in training and user adoption for new processes and solutions.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to less experienced team members, fostering their professional growth and development through knowledge-sharing and collaborative problem-solving.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in business analysis, preferably in the contract logistics, supply chain, or transportation industry.
  • Strong knowledge of business and technical requirements gathering methodologies.
  • Experience with process mapping tools (e.g., Visio, Lucidchart, or similar).
  • Familiarity with incident and change management tools (e.g., JIRA, ServiceNow, or similar).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with data-driven decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to communicate effectively across technical and non-technical teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and SharePoint).
  • Ability to Travel (up to 50%)

Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have):

  • Experience with logistics management systems (LMS) or warehouse management systems (WMS).
  • Understanding of agile methodologies and sprint planning.
  • Knowledge of SQL or data analytics tools for report generation and performance tracking.

Pay Range:

$100,000-$110,000

*The above stated pay range is the anticipated starting salary range for the position. The Company may adjust this range in light of prevailing market conditions and other factors such as location. The Company will work directly with the selected candidate(s) on the final starting salary in accordance with all applicable laws.
