Airbus US Manufacturing Facility is looking for a Cabin Procurement FAL Interface ll to join our team based in Mobile, AL

Procurement specialist for the management of supply chain operations for all cabin equipment in FAL Tack Line and Delivery Center. Responsible for managing the supplier on site support team activities.

Nearby on 'Airbus Way' you will find the Airbus U.S. Manufacturing Facility for commercial aircraft. Opened at the Mobile Aeroplex at Brookley in 2015, the facility produces A320 Family aircraft and added a second product line for the A220 in 2019. Your challenges:

  • Act as Cabin Procurement Interface for the A320 FAL in Mobile :

    • Manage outstanding work and non conformity issues related to cabin furnishing and deliveries of cabin equipment; ensure full transparency and availability at cabin furnishing start. Mitigate risks and implement corrective actions and recovery plans to allow AIRBUS planning. Avoid interruptions of the AIRBUS assembly and flight line processes in close coordination with the back office, including the setting of priorities.

    • Analyze interruptions, shortages, failures in the delivery processes. Support to return shipments of Cabin equipment to either suppliers, customers or back to the stock at Airbus.

    • Ensure clear communication with the A320 FAL US and the Delivery Center through weekly reports and regular participation in operational meetings.

    • Provide Key Performance Indicators and evaluations related to cabin supplier activities and the quality of deliverables, including root cause analysis and action proposals.

    • Support daily business operations

  • Outstanding work Management

    • NC items (incl. Follow up until closure)

    • Manage all outstanding work activities requiring escalation as interface between the field support teams and their home bases, coordinate with Procurement Operations functions.

    • Supplier & OSS coordination: Ensure operational reactivity of OSS teams, measure reactivity

    • Serve as the focal point for Supplier management activities according to Airbus processes.

    • Ensure quality in the process to achieve customer satisfaction with the cabin.

    • Manage operations with subcontractor focal points

    • Stakeholder Management Support: Daily resource management internal Airbus and with OSS

    • Escalation of operational issues

  • Quality FAL & Supplier Collaboration

    • Liability collaboration process (internal & external)

    • Cost / Invoices (including release of payment proposal)

    • Collaborate with FAL to reduce the inflow of damages produced by FAL

  • Perform other Cabin equipment related duties and collaborate in internal projects as assigned.

  • Identify and implement improvements in daily business to improve supplier reactivity and performance.

Your boarding pass:

  • Preferred Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management or related field.

  • Required minimum three (4) years of experience working with non-conformity and/or out-standing work management in the aerospace industry.

Physical Requirements:

Vision: adequate to enter and read material on computer screens. Able to identify individuals to initiate greetings, the giving of directions and other business interactions.

Hearing: able to hear sufficiently to engage in conversation in office settings Able to hear alerts and warning signals.

Speaking: able to engage in conversations in person and via electronic means and deliver information to groups of varying size with or without amplification.

Equipment Operation: Able to operate a wide range of personal and office electronic equipment.

Carrying: able to occasionally carry up to 30lbs while engaging in training, addressing production issues or as part of continuous improvement projects.

Lifting: able to occasionally lift up to 50lbs.

Pushing/Pulling: able to push/pull items in office areas and on the shop floor.

Sitting: able to sit for extended periods of time at the computer and in meetings.

Squatting/Kneeling: able to occasionally squat or kneel to retrieve or replace items shelved on bottom shelves.

Standing: able to stand for extended periods of time delivering information.

Travel: able to travel domestically and internationally for short periods.

Walking: able to walk through office and production areas, around flight lines and airstrip sometimes on uneven indoor and/or outdoor surfaces
