Genesis10 is currently seeking a Database Administrator with our client in the financial industry located in Charlotte, NC, Plano, TX and Pennington, NJ. This is a 12 + month contract position. Responsibilities: Provide operation DBA services to the Enterprise across all the CTOs Provide end-to-end Critical Production support and takes care of the Sybase Server infrastructure Install/configure/maintain MySQL & NoSQL/MongoDB database instances Establish and maintain sound backup and recovery policies and procedures Plan growth and changes (capacity planning) Work as part of a team and provide 8x5 support when required Requirements: Sybase Database Administration, MySQL Database Administration and NoSQL/MongoDB with a minimum 10 years of experience who will design, develop, implement, enhance, and support a number of projects Strong in performance tuning and trouble-shooting Able to handle high-pressure situations A good understanding of the underlying operating system Experience in code migration, database change management and data management through the various stages of the development life cycle Sound communication skills with management, development teams, vendors and systems administrators Ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines Possess a sound understanding of the business Exposure to Enterprise monitoring tools Desired skills: Linux and scripting knowledge Only candidates available and ready to work directly as Genesis10 employees will be considered for this position.
