We are seeking a growing professional with a passion for financial modeling, data analysis, and continuous improvement to join our FP&A team as a Senior Finance Analyst. In this role, you will report to the FP&A Manager while working collaboratively across the finance leadership team to provide key information and support. This is a dynamic role that requires excellent problem-solving skills, strong attention to detail, the ability to manage multiple priorities, and a strong understanding of financial statements.
Job Responsibilities
- Support the budgeting and forecasting processes, collaborating with senior leaders, and consolidating the proposed business unit budgets at the enterprise level.
- Support development of materials for quarterly reviews, monthly close reviews, financial statements for internal and external stakeholders, and others as needed (financial storytelling).
- Prepare accurate and timely financial reports and dashboards for senior management, ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
- Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial metrics to evaluate operational efficiency and performance against company goals (variance analysis).
- Conduct ad-hoc financial analysis and financial modelling as requested by leadership.
- Coordinate with the accounting team to support month-end close processes.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, translating financial data into actionable insights for non-financial stakeholders.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement within the finance function.
- Support the administration and optimization of our financial reporting tools.
Qualifications
- MBA or Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related area
- 3-7 years of relevant experience
- Thorough understanding of financial statements (balance sheet, income statement, cash flow)
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Very strong Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, lookup functions, charts/visualizations, formatting)
- Strong skills with PowerPoint and Power BI (or other BI tools)
- Experience with EPM/CPM reporting software (e.g. Prophix, Strata, Oracle Planning, Anaplan)
