The Entertainment Technology Center (ETC) wasfoundedin 1998 with Randy Pausch and Don Marinelli as the co-directors. The faculty and staff collaborated to articulate our academicmission, which focuses on educational goals and creative development. We also created anR&D Agendaexploring transformational games, innovation by design, and interactive storytelling. Throughout, we work to prepare students to graduate as creative professionals.

After a successful pitch to Let's Play, Pittsburgh! The ETC K12 team has been selected to advance the idea of creating a "pop-up" pinball machine to be playtested in various public spaces. The ETC team is presented with the challenge to create an installation which invites passersby to engage in moments of embodied play! The Full Tilt! Team will catalyze and spark elements of playful learning like joy and connections to others and place by creating engaging, interactive, accessible, playful experiences.

ETC is seeking a Computer Engineer to join the team! As a continuation of the Let's Play Pittsburgh Pop Up Pinball Experience, the mechanical engineer will work with the team to create a more robust installation based on the past ETC student project. This project will be playtested at various locations and venues throughout the summer. The engineer will assist with all aspects of the pinball machine.
