Overview

Waters is seeking a dynamic contributor to fill the role of an strategic inside sales account manager. This person will have the exciting opportunity to drive the sales of our full range of ERA products and services for North America.

The desired candidate should be highly self-motivated to develop and implement a territorial business plan, while working in unison with their assigned specialists and marketing colleagues in order to deliver a strong call cycle and business development activities. The foundation of the account manager's role is to develop a keen understanding of the customers' needs to design solutions with lasting and meaningful impact.



Responsibilities

    Consistently achieve or surpass assigned sales goals
  • Enhance customer satisfaction and foster long-term relationships
  • Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities, including competitive accounts
  • Engage regularly with customers to showcase ERA solutions and resolve technical challenges
  • Develop deep technical expertise in ERA offerings to serve as a trusted advisor to clients
  • Stay informed on industry trends, market dynamics, and application developments
  • Collaborate with marketing to provide insights that support targeted business development initiatives
  • Maximize the use of Sales Contact Management Tools and related applications
  • Deliver accurate and timely monthly sales forecasts
  • Drive business growth through the execution of a structured monthly action plan


Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Sales, Business, Chemistry, Biology, Engineering, or a related scientific discipline preferred
  • Equivalent professional experience, training, and education will also be considered
  • Sales certifications are advantageous and considered a plus

Experience:

  • Proven track record of success in B2B sales, consistently meeting or exceeding revenue and growth targets
  • Demonstrated ability to onboard new clients and establish effective communication and business processes
  • Proficient in CRM platforms such as Salesforce and other account management tools
  • Strong negotiation capabilities with a talent for resolving complex customer challenges
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a collaborative and relationship-focused approach
  • Willingness to travel as needed, with the ability to prepare ROI analyses and manage expense reporting accurately
