Network Technician - Switching

Network Technician Switching Description The Network Translations Trunking Department (Trunk Provisioning and Maintenance) is the central Hub for Frontier's trunking needs. Manned 24/5, the trunking department remotely accesses Central Office Switches. The Trunking Team monitors the flows of orders, and sends attention to areas that are bottlenecked, such as translations, transport, SS7, CO wiring, and Design. The Trunking Team is the voice of Frontier for their customers. They proactively look into potential bottlenecks and correcting them to ensure smooth order flow and completion. Perform circuit turn-up functions and pre-service testing for all types of designed trunking circuits. Identify and isolate trouble conditions on special services circuits using Switched Access System (SAS) remote testing equipment. Responsibilities
