Overview

The Agency of Transportation (AOT) Office of Civil Rights is seeking a temporary Administrative Services Coordinator I to support key program areas. This role will assist Civil Rights staff in carrying out functions related to youth outreach (including the National Summer Transportation Institute), talent acquisition, and recruitment efforts. The successful candidate must be comfortable and enthusiastic working with middle and high school students. This position involves a combination of office and field work. Assignments will require travel throughout the state to support National Summer Transportation Institute (NSTI) activities and other program-related duties.

The position will be responsible for the following duties, including, but not limited to:



  • Provide general administrative support to Civil Rights programs
  • Assist in developing and implementing program workplans
  • Create and manage scheduling and tracking systems
  • Develop marketing materials and maintain social media campaigns/websites
  • Design and manage forms, surveys, and assessment tools
  • Track program-related invoices and expenditures



The position is approved from 5/26/25 through 9/30/25. There are no set hours and the schedule will be based on program needs. Telework may be available, but will not be consistent or frequent, and regularly scheduled in-person work is required.

Environmental Factors

Work is performed in a standard office setting.

Minimum Qualifications

Two years of full-time college coursework OR and Associate's degree in accounting, business or public administration, office administration or closely related field.

OR

One year of full-time college coursework in accounting, business or public administration, office administration or closely related field AND one (1) year or more of experience providing administrative-level support to a business or organization.

OR

High School diploma or equivalent AND two (2) years or more of experience providing administrative-level support to a business or organization.

OR

One (1) year or more of experience as an Administrative Services Technician IV with the State of Vermont.

Special Requirements

For some positions experience working with the VISION system (VISION is the State of Vermont PeopleSoft financial management system) may be required.
