Job Summary The Director Ticketing is responsible for overseeing the development of the box office, ticket sales, tracking of ticket sales, and the management of show inventory.This position will assess, develop, implement and evaluate new policies and procedures to make ticketing processes more efficient. Additionally, the Director Ticketing will develop and maintain a rapport with the venue and ticketing contacts while monitoring sales, opens, and holds after on-sales.They will also collaborate with the accounting department to settle the financials for each event. Essential Functions
- Oversee ticketing for all shows, which include confirmation of ticket sales, supervision the on-sale information, the scaling of presale packages, and management all Box Office operations and personnel.
- Review and approve events prior to tickets going on sale at the box office. Advise on ticket pricing and scaling.
- Monitor sales, opens and holds after on-sale and up until show day, including updated sold maps and provisions of audits as needed. Review expense reports and vacation requests for ticketing staff.
- Collaborate with the accounting department to settle the financials for each event.
- Supervise the placement of ticket holds including fan club tickets and preparing ticket confirmation sheet.
- Oversee show build for Premium Ticketing department, if applicable, and prepare ticketing information sheet report and send to operations.
- Manage operation of various ticketing platforms and advise on troubleshooting issues as they arise. May also be sent to new venues acquired by AEG to get them on board with our system of accounting and facilitate training in AXS.
- Manage customer service issues via email and at the box office. Collaborate with ticketing companies to continue expanding current software capabilities as well as instruct them on how to manage AEG's customer issues.
- Manage staff by assigning festival, show and one-off ticketing projects and help troubleshoot any issues that arise.
Required Qualifications
- BA/BS Degree (4-year) (Advanced Degree Preferred)
- 6-8 years - Of related work experience
- Experience in the entertainment industry - Previous management expereience - Experience in developing start-up box offices, strategies, and arena ticketing, preferred - Box Office Experience - Knowledge of accounting and budgeting principals
- Strong knowledge of AXS, Ticketmaster and other ticketing platforms.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Adobe Professional
- Must be organized, detail-oriented and self-motivated
- Ability to multitask, prioritize and remain calm in a fast paced environment
- Must be able to work flexible schedule including nights, weekends and some holidays
- Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
Pay Scale: $95,351.04 - $135,295.54 Bonus: This position is eligible for a bonus under the current bonus plan requirements.
