Seeking Registered Nurse Lactation Consultant!

Full-time (32 Hours Weekly), Days

Job Duties:
The lactation consultant is a member of the Mother-Baby team who provides consultation and hands on assistance to mothers related to breast feeding initiation/sustainment in both the inpatient and outpatient setting (prenatally and beyond discharge from the hospital.)

The lactation consultant is responsible for initiating a plan of care to provide consistent and evidence-based practice interventions. The lactation consultant provides staff training in lactation support and gives direction by mentoring to nursing and allied health staff at the bedside.

Qualifications:

Current Indiana or compact state RN license

BLS for Healthcare Providers required.

NRP certification required (obtained within 6 months of hire).

IBCLC certification required.

Previous nursing experience required.
