Mechanics Bank is currently searching for a Learning & Development Specialist to join our team. Here at Mechanics Bank, we value connection, partnership, long term relationships and working together in person. This role will be working on-site at our Roseville, CA office. Under administrative direction, the Learning and Development Specialist will assess training needs and design, develop, organize, and conduct company training solutions and educational programs using internal Bank resources and subject matter experts, or with the assistance of outside training consultants. The position requires the employee to monitor and/or modify training methods and procedures currently in use, and plan and establish new methods and procedures of training as required. The incumbent is also responsible to maintain knowledge of instructional strategies and technologies by attending workshops and classes, reviewing training publications, and networking. What you will be doing:
Designs and develops training and training materials for self-directed, instructor-led (virtual and in-person) and e-Learnings, including instructional guides, multimedia visual aids, job aids, reference tools, and evaluation instruments. Works with subject matter experts and Compliance/Legal to ensure materials are accurate and complete. Administers programs by facilitating training sessions and coordinating training implementation and delivery, including scheduling learning sessions and maintaining training program and attendance records. Consults with business partners to accurately assess training needs and determine effective performance solutions that are aligned with business objectives. Participates as a key member of project teams and attends regular meetings to support new product introduction, processes, and technology innovation to ensure training programs are developed and ongoing resources are in place for employees. Constructs Level I-III instruments for soliciting training feedback and evaluating training results and measuring program success. Supports HR and L&D programs and initiatives, including new employee onboarding, as needed.
Who you are:
Preferred Bachelor's degree in relevant field of study, or additional experience will be considered in lieu of education. 0-3 years of experience in a learning and development setting. Working understanding of Analysis, Design, Development, Implement, and Evaluate Instructional Design model and Department processes, templates and deliverables. Confident and effective facilitation skills in virtual and in-person settings. Ability to motivate and encourage participation during virtual and in-person training sessions. Strong time management skills Excellent human relations, communication, and business writing skills. High level of accuracy and great attention to detail
#LI-AS1 Salary: $68,640-87,000 annually Final compensation package will be determined by the work experience, education, and/or skill level of the applicant along with internal equity and alignment with geographic market data.
