Job Description

Microchip's dsPIC Digital Signal Controller business unit is looking for an Engineering Intern to support existing and new products. Responsibilities will be performed under the guidance of an experienced engineer.

Key Responsibilities

- PCB board level testing

- PCB assembly including soldering under a microscope

- PCB design using MCU, passive and active components

- Programming and debugging using MCU circuits

- Silicon characterization

- Documentation review and feedback for Datasheets and Family reference manual

Requirements/Qualifications:

- Must be a student (junior or senior in High School) at CUSD

- Must be involved with FIRST Robotics

- Must provide own transportation (

- Must be available for the duration of the HS Intern program 6/2/2025 - 7/2/2025

- Mandatory in office days Monday & Tuesday.

- May work additional days for a maximum of 32 hours per week (manager must be in office when intern is working)

- Experience with PCB soldering with fine pitch components is desired

- Experience with basic programming concepts in C is desired

- Experience with basic circuit analysis concepts is desired

- Experience with basic lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, meters, power supplies, etc. desired

- Experience with Programming and debugging MCU using MPLAB IDE or similar IDE's is a plus

- Prior knowledge of PCB design using Altium Designer or similar packages is a plus
