Description
Basic Function Responsible for ensuring the integrity of the aircraft records system List of Duties
- Conduct ongoing quality reviews of all scheduled and unscheduled maintenance work packages for correct sign offs, RIIs, completeness, current forms and maintenance releases
- Provide technical support and training necessary to maintain and improve the aircraft records system
- Ensure compliance with FAA regulations and provide consistent and complete historical records of all aircraft, engines, and related components
- Analyze records flows and develop more efficient methods to ensure maximum accuracy and currency of records
- Assist in the preparation of records, materials and/or reports requested by other departments, FAA, or leasing company representatives
- Maintain accurate and complete AD compliance, assembly status, and forecast information for airframes, engines, and appliances
- Investigate and document life-limited parts back to birth, and ensure the provider produces adequate documentation on birth, use and serviceability
- Review and monitor ADs to ensure tracking and documentation are adequate for forecasting and providing compliance on airframes, engines, landing gears, and appliances.
- Maintain records and time standards of serialized aircraft parts and inspections as set forth by the Company maintenance program and FAA directives
- Audit aircraft records as necessary to ensure completeness and accuracy
- Develop procedures to retain and retrieve records on airframes, engines, and appliances
- Take an active role in promoting positive attitudes toward compliance and safety
Qualifications
Requirements
- 2-3 years in record keeping or similar aviation experience
- Extreme attention to detail
- Ability to work in a high-impact environment
- Exhibit the highest ethical standards of conduct in the workplace
- Basic math, writing, and computer skills
- Analytical skills and good judgment/decision making skills
Physical requirements of the job:
- Sitting for long periods of time
- Some airport, workshop noise
Resource Responsibilities
- Management or supervisory responsibility of the job:
- Lead/Supervisor- Ensure analysts process records in a timely manner. Assist with any research requested by Outstations or other BAI personnel
- Typical decisions made by incumbent:
- Auditing work packages, determining if corrective actions are clear, complete and compliant with FAR's and BAI manuals.
Financial resource responsibilities:
- Minimal, office supply requests at most

Work Environment Office setting
M-F 8:00am-4:30pm
