The Corporate Communications Manager drives digital engagement, deepens organizational understanding, and elevates our brand presence across the Americas. This position will produce a range of channels and content for various audiences. The Corporate Communications Manager supports the Senior Manager with ensuring that all communications convey a consistent message that aligns and elevates the corporate brand, mission, and philosophy. This role will coordinate and partner with business units, group companies, as well as intersecting divisions in Japan.

What To Expect (Essential Job Responsibilities)
- Develops and implements communication strategies that enhance our brand reputation, supports business objectives, and strengthens stakeholder engagement.
- Helps lead a high-performing team that successfully interprets the strategic roadmap, anticipates ways to creatively add value to our organization's objectives, and promotes a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
- Identifies emerging issues and challenges faced by the organization. Works with leadership team and staff to recognize internal communications opportunities and solutions and defines and executes appropriate strategies to support them.
- Oversees the planning and production of stories for the company's internal SharePoint environment.
- Leverages and manages our internal studio space for video creation.
- Leads the production and distribution of daily social media messages to designated channels as well as drafting and distributing press releases.
- Monitors media and social media coverage as well as industry trends to inform communications strategy while identifying opportunities for proactive storytelling.
- Fosters best-in-class Japanese to English content localization support.
- Drives valuation through a baseline of activities (brand positioning/monitoring/evaluation, audience segmentation, etc.) to foster trust and long-term relationships with employees, customers, and stakeholders.
- Helps produce strategic tradeshows and events that provide a gateway to engaging with and learning from our thought-leaders and subject matter experts.
Miscellaneous Job Responsibilities
- Identifies and tracks emerging opportunities and potential hot-button issues. Supports and advises Japan on their needs and requests.
- Supports and advises other regions on their needs and requests, as needed.
- Collaborates with Human Resources, General Administration, and other groups on internal communications, as needed.
- Establishes, obtains approvals, and monitors performance to plan for Fiscal Year budget.
- Manages Murata Electronics North Americas DX group in improving communication activities: researches, recommends, and evaluates best practices, vehicles, and technologies to engage with stakeholders and foster brand credibility.
- Facilitates professional development activities within the communications field (i.e., social media instruction, public speaking training, bio development, etc.).
- Provides reports, situation analyses, and metrics to stakeholders.
- Performs other job-related responsibilities and duties as may be assigned.
What Is Required (Qualifications)
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, or Marketing.
- 5+ years' experience in a progressive communications management role.
- Prior experience and management with a comprehensive strategic communications program, advancing an organization's mission and goals.
- Innovative thinker with a track record for translating strategic thinking into actionable and quantifiable outcomes.
- Judgment, creative, and critical thinking skills, including negotiation as well as conflict resolution.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical audiences with all levels of the organization.
- Extensive writing and editing experience across a wide variety of external and internal mediums.
- Experience in building, mentoring, and coaching teams with strong project management and work ethic.
- Excellent interpersonal skills: enthusiastic attitude and ability to work effectively as a member of a diverse team.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
How To Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
- Master's Degree in Communications, Public Relations, or Marketing
- B2B or B2C experience.
- Experience conceptualizing, producing, and evaluating strategic tradeshows and special events.
- Knowledge of SEO, analytics, and content marketing strategies.
Travel
Frequent domestic travel and occasional international travel required.
