Job Summary

Member of team responsible for modeling development for pSemi's patented high-performance UltraCMOS technology. This position will work closely with modeling engineers and CAD to support internal design groups and external foundry customers with model extraction flow development and data analysis. The role will be responsible for mentoring junior engineers and providing guidance to design teams in their area of expertise.

Roles & Responsibilities

This position has responsibility for:



  • Methodology development for complex model extractions
  • Detail analytical analysis of characterization data to investigate non-classical behavior
  • Provide required equipment specifications for advanced measurement system configuration
  • Statistical model development and analysis
  • Model implementation and flow development for multiple EDA platforms
  • Provide technical leadership, insight, mentoring, and support to the design community, modeling team, and technology team


Minimum Qualifications (Experience and Skills)



  • Typically requires 3 to 5 years of relevant experience, depending on education level and experience.
  • Methodology development for complex model extractions.
  • Detailed analytical analysis of characterization data to investigate non-classical behavior.
  • DOE and layout of test structures for model extraction and device analysis
  • Statistical model development and analysis.
  • Model implementation and flow development for multiple EDA platforms.
  • Understanding of device implementation in design.
  • Provide technical insight and support to the design community, modeling team, and technology team.
  • Understanding of semiconductor manufacturing flow.



Preferred Qualifications



  • Compact model development BSIM, PSP, and/or HISIM model extraction methods.
  • Experience in PIN Diode model extraction for RF applications.
  • Experience in high frequency measurements for S-parameters, IP3, IMD, and NF. of RF device physics, measurements, and extraction.


* Detailed knowledge of some advanced modeling (i.e. noise, RF, large signal, thermal, etc.).

* Background or understanding of electromagnetic theory.

* Basic understanding of RFIC design.

Education Requirements



  • BS in Electrical Engineering or a related field required; MSEE or Ph.D preferred

USD 124,657.67 - 162,063.95 per year
