Key Job Responsibilities
- Champion the safety and well-being of all employees by ensuring compliance with safety protocols and best practices in the workplace.
- Design and implement comprehensive action plans aimed at achieving departmental goals for quality and efficiency, continuously monitoring performance and making adjustments as necessary.
- Oversee accounts receivables in accordance with the business plan, analyzing financial data to maintain healthy revenue streams.
- Facilitate effective training programs for service technicians and administration, empowering staff with the skills and knowledge needed for success.
- Collaborate closely with factory representatives to ensure warranty factory campaigns are executed timely and effectively, enhancing customer satisfaction.
- Upkeep high standards of workmanship and professionalism, instilling a sense of pride and accountability in the service team.
- Ensure the service department operates in alignment with the manufacturers' guidelines and procedures, establishing best practices that enhance performance.
- Assess the tools and resources required for service functions, taking initiative to procure what is necessary for optimal operational effectiveness.
- Strive to meet or exceed service goals and operational plans, leveraging data-driven insights to inform decision-making.
- Make financially sound decisions that align with the company's objectives, always prioritizing the financial health and sustainability of the service department.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Preferably, possess an Associate Degree in Diesel Technology or equivalent.
- Bring 5+ years of relevant experience in a technician or supervisory role within the service industry.
- Demonstrate basic hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical skills, with a strong foundation in troubleshooting and repairs.
- Exhibit strong language skills: able to read, write, and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Have mathematical skills sufficient to compute basic math, ratios, and percentages related to service operations.
- Proven ability to analyze situations, manage multiple variables, and handle standardized problems effectively.
- Possess computer proficiency, familiar with database software, Internet applications, manufacturing software, and order processing systems.
- Employ analytical skills and intuition to assess data, applying experience to enhance service outcomes.
- Showcase problem-solving capabilities by identifying and resolving service issues promptly.
- Exhibit outstanding customer service skills, responding thoughtfully to customer inquiries and needs.
- Communicate clearly, both orally and in writing, ensuring all communications are informative and professional.
