Kalman & Company is seeking to hire a Liaison Support Officer. The Liaison Support Officer (LSO) shall provide technical assistance, conduct analysis and make recommendations to orient and instruct key maintenance personnel with respect to operation, maintenance, repair, and parts supply. This is an on-site position in Berlin, WI and requires an active Secret Security Clearance.

LSOs shall provide the following services:



  • Ensure refurbished cabs are fixed IAW with USMC expectations
  • Conduct initial and final physical and operational inspections on LVSR and annotate findings and upload initial and final inspection documents.
  • Ensure LVSRs are in at least the same physical and operational condition when leave Aurora compared to when the arrived. Approval of the final inspections and acceptance shall be the responsibility of the Government.
  • Check vendor cab reconditioning effort, determine level of corrosion repair required by the vendor, performs inspections of incoming LVSRs, conduct production quality inspections and assist on the final inspections on vendor cab recondition efforts prior to delivery to the Fleet Marine Forces.
  • Photograph vehicles upon arrival and before departure to document conditions
  • Coordinate with Marines remotely
  • Serve as a liaison to PM Motor T at the Aurora facility in coordination with Oshkosh and/or DCMA, as needed
  • Update the daily LVSR tracker spreadsheet
  • Support recurring IPTs
  • Support MTVR HIMARS RSV inspections before new assets are delivered to the Fleet
  • Provide basic analysis and technical assistance in vehicle failure diagnosis.
  • Facilitate process efficiencies and proactive work to maintain vehicle cycle times through refurbishment
  • Utilize and maintain GFE/GFP in support of regular duties
  • Provide guidance in the installation of SL-3 Government Furnished Equipment.
  • Deliver a monthly report to the MHTV Program Office listing all vehicles and/or trailers and units assisted, support provided, and actions taken by the contractor.
  • Dependable, punctual, proactive, analytical, forward thinking, efficiency minded, with the "do the right thing, at the right time, for the right reasons" mentality.


Required Education/Qualifications:

The contractor shall possess the necessary training, qualifications, experience, and clearances to accomplish all tasks identified in this PWS. Minimal tradeoffs between education, experience or skills listed for LSO's may be accepted by the Government on a case by case basis.



  • US Citizenship Required.
  • An Active Secret Security clearance is required.
  • Diesel mechanic experience


  • Basic understanding of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel


  • Working knowledge and ability to read and interoperate maintenance instructions and technical instructions


Preferred:



  • A minimum of five years' diesel mechanic experience


  • Prior service as a field service representative supporting any branch of the DoD


  • Fault isolation, diagnostics, and repair of diesel engines
  • Familiarity with GCSS-MC to manage Service Requests for vehicles that are at Aurora for work
