Responsibilities
SUMMARY: Responsible for day-to-day Human Resources responsibilities at Distribution Centers and Warehouses. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Attract and recruit for hourly and exempt positions utilizing traditional and creative methods to create and maintain a positive pipeline
- Ensure candidates are moved through the hiring process in a timely manner
- Onboards new employees and facilitates orientation for successful integration of employees
- Manages offboarding experience for employees
- Partner with others on retention and employee engagement initiatives, Hire Credit Program, Bi-Annual Step Promotion Program, and other DC initiatives/programs.
- Partners with HR Manager, Managers, and employees to resolve issues and concerns in a positive and professional manner.
- Manage job changes, promotions, transfers, and compensation adjustment
- Assist with Open Enrollment and other company-wide HR activities
- Participates in training activities for the employees and managers
- Manages confidential and sensitive matters, information, and documents
- Responds to inquiries for employees, supervisors, and managers
- Participates in corporate-wide HR projects.
- Travel as necessary to Distribution Centers across the US up to 15%.
Safety Duties & Responsibilities:
- Adhere to, promote, and accept responsibility for compliance to Federal and Local Occupational Safety and Health Regulations, Industry Consensus Standards, and KGP Injury and Illness Prevention Program Manual.
* Participate in job site safety/hazard analysis.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. - Bachelor's degree in HR or related field required.
- Three or more years relevant HR experience required, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Prior HR experience within advance supply chain preferred
- Comprehensive understanding of the employment laws and human resources principles and practices.
- Ability to build effective relationships with employees, managers, candidates, and others
- An effective communicator, articulate speaker, and facilitator
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, with flexibility and willingness to learn and to take initiatives on variety of tasks and projects
- Prior recruitment experience including traditional and creative methods
- Must be willing to learn new tasks, handle change, and work with a diverse group.
- Ability to present facts and recommendations effectively and accurately in oral and written form.
- Ability to manage confidential information appropriately.
- Must have good judgment, decision-making ability, and attention to detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Applicant Tracking systems and HRIS
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos; ability to write simple correspondence; ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the Company.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
- Ability to add and subtract 10-digit numbers, to multiply and divide with tens and hundreds; ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume and distance.
REASONING ABILITY:
- No major critical thinking required. Work follows established job aids and business rules. Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form; ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
