We are seeking a Business Systems Analyst in support of upcoming projects with a critical Law Enforcement customer.

Candidates must already possess an Active SECRET security clearance to be considered.

The person in this role can work onsite in Clarksburg, WV or can work Remotely.



Responsibilities

The Business Systems Analyst is responsible for analyzing and assessing business propositions, collaborating with Product Managers, and ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and user needs. Key duties include:

    Strategic Analysis: Evaluate business propositions for strategic alignment, cost/benefit, and risks to inform decision-making.
  • Collaboration: Work with Product Managers to define product approaches that meet user needs and align with business strategies.
  • Risk Management: Map and evaluate risks related to product approaches and propose mitigation strategies.
  • Requirements Gathering: Gather and analyze requirements from stakeholders to ensure alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Data Governance: Assist in the design and deployment of data products, ensuring compliance with data governance and data mesh strategies.
  • Training: Contribute to organizational training initiatives for data stewards and users, supporting the adoption of data mesh principles and governance best practices.

Requirements

  • Technical Skills:
    • Experience working in an Agile organization using Scrum, Kanban, Jira, Confluence, and SAFe.
    • Knowledge of data governance standards, including data privacy, access control, and lineage management.
    • Ability to collaborate with data domain teams to develop scalable and effective data solutions.
  • Analytical Skills:
    • Ability to analyze and assess business propositions, including strategic alignment, cost/benefit, and risks.
    • Provide actionable recommendations based on comprehensive business analysis and risk assessments.
  • Communication Skills:
    • Collaborate effectively with stakeholders and teams to define user and financial benefits.
    • Provide team-specific training as needed.

Physical Requirements: These are the essential physical requirements needed to successfully perform the job.

  • Sedentary work.
    • Requires sitting up to 8 hours per day.
    • May require lifting up to 5 pounds unassisted.
    • Fine repetitive motor skills with hands, wrists, and fingers in coordination with eyes.
  • Hearing, speaking, and vision: Adequate to perform job duties and communicate in person, via video, and telephone. Includes reading information from printed sources and computer screens.
  • Other: Work may be performed in an office environment, which may involve frequent contact with staff and the public. Work may be stressful at times.
