Job Purpose:

The Engineering Assistant will be responsible for assisting and supporting the Project Engineering team with a variety of initiatives and duties, including but not limited to those listed below. This position will report to the Engineering Manager.

Nature of Duties:

*Assist Project Engineer withall stages of new product introduction and ensure a seamless handoff to production.

*Develop and maintain action trackers for customers and facilitate customer calls.

*Support internal team and help drive timely completion of projects, within quoted budget, by maintaining internal checklists and timelines. Assist in scheduling project review meetings to discuss project needs and expectations.

*Assist with coordinating tool design reviews, material selection and procurement, secondary tooling design, tool sampling, first article inspections,andproductionpart approvals/PPAPs.

*Provide Document Control with all pertinent new product information for initial set-up of buy & makeitemsin system.

*Assist Project Engineer in creating new item documentation, initiating change orders, and assuring that process is running to quoted times.

*Manage NPI checklists by assigning responsible parties their tasks to complete.

*Ensure timeline of projects and assure that all other departments and vendors are on schedule and have current data.

*Other duties and tasks as assigned.

Education and Experience:




  • Prefer 2 year technical or 4 year degree in business related study and 2+ years experience in related field.



  • Demonstrates strong work ethic.



  • Strong written and interpersonal communication skills.



  • Good time management and organizational skills.



  • Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality.



  • Ability to be a self-starter.



  • Strong computer skills in using programs such as Excel and PowerPoint
