JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS The Department of Physics is seeking to hire a part-time research assistant. This person will work with Dr. Bryce Gadway with research on quantum and quantum-related systems with lasers and electronics. Specifically, they will be setting up laser systems, including laser frequency stabilization setups based on atomic spectroscopy, frequency distribution setups based on acoust-optic modulators, and optical beam-shaping setups based on digital micromirror devices. They will do associated analog and rf electronics work involving some soldering. And they will do some theoretical modeling of quantum system dynamics.
