Join our dynamic team as a Controls Technician, where you will play a pivotal role in maintaining, installing, and troubleshooting plant instrumentation and control systems. With minimal supervision, you will apply your knowledge of programming and troubleshooting plant control processes, ensuring the seamless operation of our equipment and minimizing downtime. Your contributions will be vital in supporting the maintenance and operational efficiency of our plant.

In this role, you will work cross-functionally, taking on diverse assignments that support both operations and maintenance. Using your expertise in PLCs and electric test equipment, you will troubleshoot and replace failed electrical components, download parameters as needed, and upload data from PLCs and HMIs for troubleshooting purposes. Under the guidance of experienced technicians, you will execute PLC code changes, utilize Asset Center/RS Linx knowledge, and actively participate in the development of innovative ideas and concepts.

Your collaborative spirit will shine as you support cross-functional teams in building or improving capital assets and commercializing new products. You will solve technical problems, identify opportunities for improvement or modification, and communicate the status of active work effectively. Ensuring GMP, safety, and quality standards for all proposed modifications is paramount in your responsibilities.

SHIFT: Day Shift, Monday - Friday 7:30a - 3:30p.

Will need to be available to off shift in 2026 during Harvest, August - October - 3 shift availbility.

What You Will Need:

  • 2 years technical degree in electrical technology plus 1 year of experience working with PLC controls, logic circuits, pneumatic and electrical equipment; OR High school diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate plus 3 years of experience working with PLC controls, logic circuits, pneumatic and electrical equipment.
  • Required to climb stairs and ladders; required to conduct work at heights.

  • Knowledgeable of Electrical Safety procedures.

  • May be required to work a rotating shift/schedule (e.g., day, swing, graveyard, 5x8, 4x10) as well as weekends and overtime.

  • Skilled in reading, comprehending, interpreting and executing simple instructions, short correspondence and memos.

  • Skilled in writing simple correspondence.

  • Required to travel to company offices, sites, and/or meeting locations for onboarding, training, meetings, and events for development, department needs, and business delivery up to 5% of the time, with or without reasonable accommodation. This may be in addition to travel requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description.

  • Required to be 18 years or older. This may be in addition to other age requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description.

Compensation:

  • Hiring Salary Range Posted: $36.11 - $48.80 / hour
  • Actual compensation paid within the range will be determined by factors such as the education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
