Savvas Learning Company is seeking a motivated Senior Product Marketing Specialist to join our Supplemental and Intervention portfolio marketing team. This resource is expected to have extensive knowledge of the K-12 education market and must be a quick learner and able to work independently to fulfill job responsibilities. Reporting to the Director of Product Marketing for the Supplemental and Intervention marketing team, the Senior Product Marketing Specialist has three main areas of responsibility: RFP Responses, Product Marketing, and Sales Support.

Primary Responsibilities:

RFP Responses (60%)



  • Develop and possess detailed product knowledge of every product in the supplemental and intervention line to respond to detailed product questions.
  • Independently write and update (as needed) RFP "boilerplate" text for all key products in the S&I portfolio.
  • Independently write RFP responses for all products in the S&I line; update "boilerplate" text regularly with new responses.
  • Attend all RFP calls and make recommendations on Yes/No bid decisions.
  • Complete quarterly and annual win/loss analysis by product line and use that analysis to make strategy recommendations to senior product marketing and sales leadership.
  • Identify any product gaps based on RFP requirements and communicate those gaps to product management.
  • Collaborate effectively with the Proposal teams, Sales Teams, Product Management, and Editorial, to complete RFP responses by all required deadlines.
  • Proactively identify growth opportunities in the RFP process; collaborate effectively across the organization where appropriate to implement process or other improvements.



Product Marketing (20%)



  • Collaborate with product management specialist and other teams to develop "just-in-time" customer lifecycle marketing support for the SaaS intervention line to increase customer adoption of key features and overall customer satisfaction with 2 SaaS products.
  • Develop specific knowledge of key Intervention competitors and write competitive analysis (battlecards) for sales teams.
  • Provide support for building out sales presentations by identifying appropriate pedagogical/product examples to highlight.
  • Make recommendations for building teacher-friendly SaaS product demos; build product demo tools for both pre-sale (generate awareness and interest) and post-sales usage (increase adoption of key features).
  • Proactively identify campaign opportunities; execute 1-4 campaigns per year.



Sales Team Support (20%)



  • Provide prompt answers and support to the daily needs of the sales teams based on detailed knowledge of the supplemental and intervention product line.
  • Proactively identify specific needs of the sales teams, and independently work with the appropriate internal teams to build tools the sales team needs to have appropriate product and market knowledge (e.g., create and update SaaS Field Guides).
  • Provide as-needed support for internal and external demo accounts for the SaaS Intervention line.
  • Provide "bite-sized" training or sales support as needed for specific training needs of the field teams.



*Time spent is approximate; seasonality of the K-12 sales cycle may require shifts in time spent on tasks, where more or less time is spent on a specific area, in consultation with the Director of Product Marketing.

Skills and Knowledge required:



  • BA/BS in related field required.
  • A minimum of 2 years of K-12 teaching experience, ideally in special education, English language development, or elementary education.
  • A minimum of 1+ years of experience in a K-12 education marketing or related role.
  • Fluency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Google Suite, and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Knowledge of, or ability to learn, interactive product demo software and video capture tools, such as Camtasia.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage projects in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization, including sales leadership.
