GENERAL SUMMARY: As a PR Intern at Henry Ford Health, you will have the unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in both external and internal communications within a dynamic healthcare environment. You will work closely with our external and internal communications teams to support initiatives and projects that contribute to Henry Ford Health's mission of improving lives through healthcare excellence. PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Assist in content development and editing for internal communication channels to support hospital departments Intranet communications and support including monthly awards articles and story mining as needed Assist in drafting Nursing communications, including newsletters and communication plans Destination: Grand (new hospital expansion opening in 2029) construction updates and attending meetings Ideal Candidate: * Enrolled in a communications, public relations, or related degree program. * Passionate about healthcare and the role of strategic communications in the industry. * Previous PR or communication internship experience is a plus. * Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. * A proactive and self-motivated individual eager to learn and grow in the field of PR. Qualities We Are Looking For: * Strong written and verbal communication skills. * Ability to work collaboratively and adapt in a fast-paced environment. * Attention to detail, which is crucial in both media relations and internal communications. * A creative mindset to generate innovative PR ideas and strategic communications strategies. * Willingness to learn and take on new challenges.
