The Orientation Office Assistant will assist Orientation professional staff in the efficient running of the Orientation Office. Primary job duties will include: answering the phones, making copies, database entry, replying to email, and creating Orientation Counselor duty rosters.
Applicants must be able to function independently, manage time effectively, multi-task and problem solve. The position will require some light lifting. Persons must be able to lift between 5-25 lbs., and perform other duties as assigned by Orientation professional staff. The Orientation Office Assistant will also work with a student staff of 20-25, and must be able to effectively communicate with the student staff and assist them in the performing of their duties when necessary.
Orientation is seeking applicants with strong customer services skills. The position works closely with the public and fields the majority of the Orientation queries. Applicants must have a valid North Carolina Driver's License and be willing to transport Orientation participants or move Orientation supplies. |

Minimum Qualifications |
Orientation is seeking applicants that are versed in Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook or other comparable email tool, phones and copiers. Previous office experience is a bonus. |
Preferred Qualifications |
Applicants that have previous Orientation or event planning experience are preferred. |
