Overview: We are seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist with a proven background in accounts payable and financial operations. This role will focus on processing, auditing, and reconciling firm payables, ensuring payment accuracy and compliance with internal policies. The ideal candidate will have experience in accounting or finance, strong attention to detail, and excellent communication skills to support both internal teams and external vendors. Key Responsibilities Include: * Review and approve invoices and employee expense reports for accuracy and policy compliance. * Audit reimbursement requests using workflow software and process payments accordingly. * Execute payments for weekly and daily check runs, ACH and wire payments, and expense reimbursements. * Upload positive pay and ACH files to the bank system. * Enter corporate invoices, credit card transactions, and regional office expenditures into the accounting system. * Reconcile vendor statements and research discrepancies or payment inquiries. * Monitor and manage outstanding physical checks, including vendor follow-up as needed. * Respond to payment inquiries from legal and support staff, as well as external vendors. * Support AP-related email and phone communications. * Assist with special projects and other flexible duties as needed by the Finance Department. * Ensure all work aligns with firm/client expectations, including maintaining appropriate performance metrics. Our Ideal Candidates Will Have: * High school diploma or GED required. * 2+ years of experience in accounts payable, accounting or related. * Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Teams, Excel, and Word. * Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to multitask. * Excellent communication skills and a customer-service mindset. * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and support occasional overtime as needed. * Hybrid work model requiring at least 3 days per week in the Minneapolis office. Benefits are subject to eligibility requirements and other terms and conditions. The salary range for this position varies by geographical market. In Minneapolis [or Mankato], the estimated starting annual pay range is $55,000-$65,000/year. The compensation offered will be dependent on the candidate's experience, skills, education, professional background, overall qualifications, and geographic market location.
