Senior Grants Accountant

We are looking for a senior grants accountant for our prestigious university client on a project basis. This role hybrid requiring 2 days a week in the office located in Manhattan, NY and the project is expected to complete in 4 months.

• Support the cash recovery process for thousands of individual federal awards funded under individual letter of credit agreements
• Calculate cash drawdowns for each letter of credit federal award based on the analysis of cumulative and current expenditures per Federal regulations and University policies and budgets
• Prepare supporting documentation for the posting of sponsored project cash receipts to the appropriate project
• Reconcile payments and accounts receivable balances
• Coordinate activity with other members of the finance team ensuring that cash receipts are posted to individual awards on a timely basis

• Bachelor's degree or higher in accounting, finance, or other related fields
• 5+ years of relevant technical accounting experience
• Experience in the education field preferred
• High proficiency with Microsoft Excel
• Qualified applicants must reside in the continental U.S.
