Job Title: Computer Systems Analyst
Clearance Required: Public Trust Clearance
Work Location: Hybrid in Rockville, MD

Alpha Omega is seeking a qualified Computer Systems Analyst to support National Institutes of Health (NIH) specifically the Office of Research Services/Office of Research Facilities (ORS/ORF). We are seeking an experienced Computer Systems Analyst to provide technical and administrative leadership for a team supporting software development and customer service operations. This role involves overseeing the accuracy and quality of software products, ensuring adherence to user requirements and standards, and maintaining progress in accordance with project schedules. The ideal candidate will act as a liaison between support staff, project/program managers, and end users, while preparing system status reports and contributing to successful milestone deliveries.

Key Responsibilities:



  • Provide daily direction, supervision, and guidance to IT support personnel.
  • Review software development outputs to ensure correctness, compliance with design standards, and progress tracking.
  • Coordinate with Project Managers and Program Managers to address user needs and ensure satisfaction.
  • Recommend approval of system installations as needed.
  • Prepare and deliver milestone reports and system presentations to stakeholders, including internal teams and end users.
  • Supervise and lead customer support functions, ensuring consistent and professional service.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve customer and technical issues.


Required Qualifications:

Education:



  • Bachelor's degree and at least one (1) year of relevant IT customer support experience OR
  • Associate degree or high school diploma with at least three (3) years of relevant experience
  • Strong technical skills in computer support and customer service


Experience/Skills:



  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Public Trust Tier 2 security clearance - Moderate Risk (formerly MBI Level 5B) or the ability to obtain one.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proven ability to supervise technical teams
  • Customer-focused with a service excellence mindset


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Foundation Certificate in IT Service Management (ITIL) v3 or higher
  • MTA: Microsoft Technology Associate
  • MCSA: Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate
  • MSCE: Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert
  • Apple Certified Associate - Mac Integration Basics
  • Apple Certified Support Professional
  • CompTIA A+ Certified Professional
  • CompTIA Network+ Certified Professional
  • CompTIA Security+ Certified Professional
  • Jamf Certified Tech
  • Jamf Certified Expert


Certification(s):



  • CompTIA Security+ Certified Professional


Salary and Benefit Information:

The likely salary range for this position is $68,149-$129,542. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position and could fall outside of this range.
