Ironworker Foreman SUMMARY Mortenson is currently seeking an Ironworker Foreman that will be responsible for supervising and coordinating activities of crew engaged in marking, positioning, and securing structural steel members to reinforce concrete or building structures, as well as ensuring quality and safety on each task. RESPONSIBILITIES
- Read blueprints and schematic drawings to determine work procedures
- Establish and adjust work sequences to meet schedules, using knowledge of equipment capacities and assigned personnel
- Assist in scheduling and estimating worker-hour requirements for job completion
- Analyze and resolve work problems
- Ensure crew timecards are filled out and submitted
- Make cost estimates for contracts
- Plan installation procedures and inspect preparation and installation of ironwork to ensure adherence to specifications
- Receive and offload all major components, install loose components for nacelle, hub, and tower preparation, connect blades to hub, set base and tower sections, handle taglines, assist with main erection crane assembly and teardown, climb ladders (average 80m), effectively work and build relationships with diverse backgrounds and organizational levels, lead team members by example, offer effective coaching and feedback, and manage performance
- Perform all other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum five (5) years of related experience
- Current driver's license
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety regulations, operation and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; understand and apply basic mathematical skills (adding, subtracting, division, & multiplication); ability to determine work method from alternatives.
- Positive attitude and professional customer service skills; detail orientation; strong teamwork orientation; active listening skills and effective communication, including an openness to diverse input and feedback.

- *Lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling: up to 50 lbs.
