Assistant Professor, Physical Therapy

We are currently seeking to fill our Assistant Professor, Physical Therapy position at the Generic Location campus with a highly qualified and passionate individual.

Location: Suwanee, GA

POSITION SUMMARY

The Department of Physical Therapy invites applications for a 12-month, full-time appointment in the Doctor of Physical Therapy program. Rank and salary will be commensurate with education and teaching experience.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to:
* Teaching in the professional DPT program in an area of expertise.
o Preferred candidates will be able to teach foundational science, applied science, and physical therapy management courses.
* Candidates should possess strong communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate with colleagues.

In addition to teaching, responsibilities for this faculty position will include:
* Teaching in other areas of expertise
* Student advising
* Scholarship
* Service to the Department, College, and Community

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Education
* Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) from a CAPTE-accredited education program and/or other PT degree with terminal doctorate degree (eg. PhD, EdD, DHsc etc.,)

Experience and Qualifications
* Minimum of 5 years of full-time post-licensure clinical experience.
* Experience in teaching in a Doctor of Physical Therapy education program.
* Effective communication and collaboration skills in a team-oriented environment.
* Demonstrated history of successful time management and organization.
* Demonstrated history of nurturing learning in a diversity-rich environment.
* Knowledge in the management of information, particularly computer technology.

Certifications, Licenses, Registrations
* Must be licensed or eligible for license in the State of Georgia

Additional Qualifications:
* ABPTS certification

The referenced salary range is based on PCOM good faith belief at the time of posting.
