TTCU Federal Credit Union is seeking a passionate and motivated Branch Teller to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering friendly and efficient service to credit union members by accurately processing transactions and providing essential financial services. This role is key in creating a positive experience for our members and ensuring smooth daily operations within the branch. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a dedication to providing excellent member service.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities



  • Process a variety of financial transactions for members, including deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, transfers, and check cashing.
  • Provide accurate information to members regarding their accounts, services, and financial products.
  • Identify opportunities to assist members with additional products and services that meet their financial needs.
  • Maintain and balance a cash drawer, ensuring accuracy and adherence to internal controls and security procedures.
  • Resolve member inquiries and concerns in a professional and timely manner.
  • Assist with branch operations, including verifying and processing checks, balancing cash, and ensuring the proper handling of all transactions.
  • Ensure compliance with all credit union policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Support team members and contribute to a positive and collaborative branch environment.


Minimum Qualifications



  • High school diploma or equivalent required; some college coursework in business or finance preferred.
  • Previous experience in a customer service or cash handling role, preferably in a financial institution.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with members.
  • Detail-oriented and able to maintain a high level of accuracy in processing transactions.
  • Ability to handle cash securely and follow branch procedures for balancing.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic computer skills.
  • Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to contribute to team success.

Job Knowledge

Basic knowledge with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams, and Outlook)

Ability to navigate the Internet using Internet Browser.

Ability to learn proprietary computer software such as Keystone, OnBase, Touche, and Concur.

Interpersonal Skills

Intermediate written and verbal communication skills are required to effectively interact with members regarding financial transactions which may involve problem resolution and offer educational information regarding products and services. Ability to work with confidential information and maintain confidentiality at all times. Ability to create an atmosphere which promotes TTCUs Core Values by maintaining a high level of personal integrity, presenting a friendly, enthusiastic and professional demeanor while providing extraordinary service to members and fostering teamwork among employees.

Working Conditions

Routinely perform work indoors in climate-controlled shared work area with a moderate level of noise Must be able to perform job functions either independently or under supervision and work effectively on own. Must be able to plan their own work activities as well as take direction. Must be able to read and carry out various complicated written and oral instructions. Must be able to speak clearly and deliver information in a logical and understandable sequence. Must be able to perform basic mathematical calculations with extreme accuracy. Must be capable of dealing calmly and professionally with numerous different personalities from diverse cultures at various levels within and outside of the organization and demonstrate highest levels of customer service and discretion when dealing with the public. Must be able to perform responsibilities with composure under the stress of deadlines / requirements for extreme accuracy and quality and/or fast pace. Must be able to effectively handle multiple, simultaneous, and changing priorities. Must be capable of exercising highest level of discretion on both internal and external confidential matters.
