RSM's Center for Advanced Tax Technology ("CATT") is a fast-paced, high-energy, collaborative environment that also happens to be one of the fastest growing tax practice groups at RSM. The CATT team is focused on enhancing RSM US and global ability to deliver comprehensive, value-added, and efficient Tax products and services to our clients. It is a dynamic team with professionals of varying backgrounds from tax functional, tax technical, technology development, and product management. The team consults and executes on a wide range of initiatives involving process and tool development and implementation including training development, engagement management, tool design, and implementation.

JOB SUMMARY

The CATT Business Analyst works with Product Owner, Process Owners, Process Business Analysts, and Developers to design, develop, deploy and perform ongoing maintenance activities for our custom-developed software that is used by internal RSM partners and staff as well as external clients to drive long-term scalability and sustainability of the business for a competitive advantage. To execute their area of responsibility, this role collaborates with staff, product teams, IT, other functional areas within the broader RSM firm, and field offices to ensure we achieve the vision cohesively and effectively. The ideal candidate will have strong data analytics capabilities, a continuous improvement mindset, and a deep passion for the digital transformational journey.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Partners with Go to Market teams, Product Owners, Business Analysts, and Tax practice subject matter experts to create and configure client sites for assigned product(s).
    • Create, configure and upload data as needed to client sites supporting engagement teams.
    • Create or maintain documentation for user training, education, etc. to support practice adoption for all types of sites.
    • Create and maintain custom sites for complex or nonstandard engagements as needed.
    • Create and maintain standard sites for engagements using a standard template.
    • Triage support tickets where guidance on how to take action on a site is needed; escalate as needed.
    • Build and maintain custom visualizations of key metrics for landing pages or metrics reporting.
    • Own site upgrade strategies for new feature releases.
    • Partner with Process and Change Mgmt on rollout to the firm including leading data migrations from other document collaboration or project mgmt. Tools.
    • Participate in testing new features or integrations.
    • Perform support of client engagements or end user issues.
  • Collaborates with the Product Owner to prioritize technical and functional requirements and maintenance of the product.
  • Defines, documents, and communicates requirements in work items for product development team (epics, features, user stories, and acceptance criteria).

EDUCATION / CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's Degree (preference given to Business or Technology or Accounting major).
  • Certification of Capability in Business hAnalysis or equivalent experience.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • 4-6 years' experience on a software delivery team (required).
    • Ability to structure the discussion as requirements and creating product feature (required).
    • Results driven; high integrity; ability to build relationships; communications skills; understands complex decisions and proactively seeks input from Senior Developers (required).
    • Self-disciplined to work in a virtual, agile, globally sourced team (required).
  • 1-2 years' experience with:
    • MSFT PowerBI: building reports, troubleshooting and resolving report and data issues (required).
    • Enterprise content and collaboration platforms such as MSFT SharePoint, Suralink or HighQ (required).
  • Prior public accounting experience with mid to large size firm(s) or other professional services experience (preferred).
  • Understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (preferred).

At RSM, an employee's pay at any point in their career is intended to reflect their experiences, performance, and skills for their current role. The salary range (or starting rate for interns and associates) for this role represents numerous factors considered in the hiring decisions including, but not limited to, education, skills, work experience, certifications, location, etc. As such, pay for the successful candidate(s) could fall anywhere within the stated range.

Compensation Range: $77,700 - $128,200

Individualsselected for this role will be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on firm and individual performance.
