Job Description:

Saab, Inc. is searching for a Lead Facilities Specialist to assist with overseeing the construction and eventually the operations of the Grayling, Michigan site.

As a Lead Facilities Specialist, you will be a part of a great employee culture while working around a professional work environment.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Facility operations and maintenance

  • Addressing work orders daily and performing monthly preventative maintenance on equipment

  • General pipefitting work as needed

  • Hydraulics/Pneumatics troubleshooting

  • Act as team lead with the Building and Grounds personnel

  • Monitoring fire systems/overseeing fire system inspections

  • Experience with forklift(s), industrial wheeled machinery

  • Rigging skills for equipment moving and placement

Lifting is required. There is minimal travel required for this role.

Compensation Range: $30.29-$37.84

The compensation range provided is a general guideline. When extending an offer, Saab, Inc. considers factors including (but not limited to) the role and associated responsibilities, location, and market and business considerations, as well as the candidate's work experience, key skills, and education/training.

Skills and Experience:
  • 10 years' experience in a manufacturing environment

  • Equipment troubleshooting skills dealing with hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical systems

  • General mechanical tradesman skills to support facility operations and maintenance

  • HVAC Knowledge with troubleshooting skills

  • Electrical troubleshooting knowledge

  • Journeyman status is a plus in a mechanical, maintenance and/or pipefitting trade

  • Demonstrated leadership skills/abilities in an industrial setting

  • Current forklift license is preferred

Citizenship Requirements:

Must be a U.S. citizen. Applicants selected may be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
