Overview

APPOINTMENT TYPE: Full-Time Regular (FTR)

LOCATION: Oak Ridge, TN or Remote (U.S. Based Locations)

SALARY RANGE: $95,638 - $133, 024

PURPOSE:

Design and develop complex web applications for internal and external customers. Actively support the project team and Technology Solutions group by participating in meetings and initiatives. Identify and champion new solutions for existing and upcoming business needs.



Responsibilities

    Performs application programming; develops, performs unit tests, and maintains application software & databases.
  • Actively contributes to team stand up, refinement, planning, retrospective meetings and group, staff, work team, strike team meetings.
  • Assists in researching, scoping, and estimating new projects.
  • Continues professional skill development.
  • Other duties as assigned: serves in other capacities such as organizational-wide teams, internal Information Technology Solutions (ITS) process improvement initiatives, and miscellaneous works assignments.


Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or related field preferred and 5 to 8 years of job-related experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience requiring similar knowledge, skills, abilities, and performing duties as described may be substituted for the minimum requirements; associate's degree and 9 years of experience or high school diploma and 13 years of experience.
  • Must have 5 or more years' experience developing web-based database applications.
  • Must have 2 years' recent, solid development experience using Microsoft.NET technology and 2 years' experience developing Structured Query Language (SQL) Server databases.
  • Must be proficient in developing web applications with Microsoft.NET technologies.
  • Must have experience with relational databases, specifically MS SQL Server.
  • Must also be proficient with Microsoft Windows, Hypertext Markup Language (HTML), JavaScript, Cascading Style Sheets (CSS), & SQL.
  • Must have recent experience with Entity Framework.
  • Must have experience using source control GIT application and common tasks like pulling, merging, committing, pushing code, working with branches, etc.
  • Must be able to work in a team environment with good verbal and written skills.
  • Experience in Application development, particularly for web-enabled applications.
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies is a plus.
*The candidate's starting salary will be determined upon hire and ORAU will use salary survey data, internal comparators, and the candidate's qualifications to determine salary.
