Position Overview

The Gap Closure Program Development Director is responsible for leading project management and business optimization initiatives, reporting directly to the Senior Director of the Gap Closure Program Development team. The role will encompass a variety of such responsibilities, including but not limited to: propel expansion and advancement of our go-to-market strategy for Gap Closure programs across enterprise customer channels, including our B2B sales strategies addressing large health insurance companies and employers; manage colleagues to refine and augment the processes for Gap Closure program performance measurement and analytics, as well as collaborate closely with cross-functional peers to bolster our performance reporting to enterprise clients; concurrently spearhead initiatives that evolve our customer journey and develop enhancements to improve adherence and gap closure program performance; and enrich internal reporting on key business metrics/strategic initiatives within the Gap Closure Program for a senior leadership audience. In addition, this role will lead cross-functional project-based efforts that will inform strategic business development and growth, as well as critical leadership team decision-making.

Essential Duties

Include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Accountable for executing strategic planning and conducting market analysis for the Gap Closure and Commercial/Sales teams focused on the continued growth and development of our non-point of care business, with an emphasis on the expansion of our Gap Closure programs across the Payer and Employer sales channels.
  • Lead development, refinement and implementation of all marketing collateral related to the Payer and Employer sales channels in combination with your team.
  • Accountable for driving cross-functional collaboration with our business partners on other Exact Sciences teams (e.g. C/X, Sales, IT, Marketing, Supply Chain) to successfully realize Gap Closure program efficiencies, customer journey enhancements, adherence improvements, and payer / employer program growth.
  • Actively monitor and measure business initiatives, marrying detailed analysis with big-picture critical thinking to further optimize and evolve our non-point of care business.
  • Apply industry knowledge and expertise to develop/implement insights, processes and standards for continuous assessment and improvement of our Gap Closure business capabilities and functions.
  • Deliver Gap Closure performance measurement, analytics, and presentation development for key internal stakeholders.
  • Effectively manage, support, and guide your team, including, but not limited to delegating tasks and responsibilities, assessing employee performance and providing constructive feedback and training opportunities.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in business administration or field as outlined in the essential duties.
  • 12+ years experience working in a core business function within Finance, Business/Professional Services, Health Insurance or Health Care.
  • Proven experience with financial and sales pipeline forecasting, reporting, business analytics and presentation development.
  • Keen general business acumen, attention to detail, and analytical rigor.
  • Strong written communication skills.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit, strong work ethic, curiosity, resourcefulness, and positive attitude.
  • Demonstrated ability to be flexible and simultaneously juggle a variety of disparate projects and tasks in a fast-paced professional environment. Having start-up or growth business experience is a plus.
  • Confident in collaborating directly with senior business leaders.
  • Experience working in a matrix management organization with primary responsibility for success while relying on a team of resources which may or may not be direct reports.
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft office suite, with an emphasis on advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform the essential duties of the position with or without accommodation.
  • Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in business administration or field as outlined in the essential duties.
  • Significant experience with presentation development and data analytics as prepared for an executive management-level audience.
  • Strong understanding of and experience working with B2B sales teams / sales management.
  • Several years' experience working with large, national insurance companies (Payers) and/or reimbursement.
  • Experience collaborating closely with CX/IT organizations to scope and develop:
    • Software-based business process management tools and solutions.
    • Customer Journey processes, workflows and communications.

Salary Range:

$174,000.00 - $277,000.00

The annual base salary shown is a national range for this position on a full-time basis and may differ by hiring location. In addition, this position is bonus eligible, and is eligible to be considered for company stock at hire and on an annual basis.
