ORC is seeking a full-time, exemptDivisional Director (DD) based out of Texasto oversee our business development efforts for federally funded transportation and Disaster Recovery projects within the division. Responsible for building and nurturing strategic relationships with key clients and developing strategies to expand our footprint across the country. This role requires a blend of high-level administrative leadership, business acumen, and hands-on project oversight to successfully build and grow the Disaster Recovery division and ensure continued success within the Public Sector. This is a chance to shape the future of our company and your career. The selected candidate will reside within a 30-mile radius of Fort Worth, TX and can expect to travel about 50% of the time based on project requirements.

What you will be doing:



  • Day-to-day division management:

    • Overseeproject management and execution of multifaceted Right of Way Transportation and Disaster Recovery projects

      • Ensureprojects are completed on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with quality standards


    • Promoteand pursenew business development opportunities in Public Sector Right of Way
    • Serveas a practice builder for a newly established division, driving national-level strategic initiatives to expand the company's Disaster Recovery & Resiliency services
    • Coordinate and overseeinteractions with clients and potential clients to build/maintain good relationships, so a company can retain more of its customers and ensure ongoing success
    • Implementcomplex strategies developed by senior leadership, managehigh-impact projects across multiple states, andensurealignment with company's overall goals
    • Monitoroperational performance, audits financial and employee metrics, supports quality assurance and control initiatives, and leads the division's Monthly Operating Review
    • Develop written technical and cost proposals for projects
    • Represent ORC at local, regional, and national industry association events


  • Day-to-day management of personnel:

    • Effectively lead a team of Project Managers and staff by providingsupport and guidance
    • Developemployee skills toalignindividual goals with organizational objectives
    • Proactively addressperformance concerns and recognizeachievements
    • Analyzethe current workforce, determinefuture workforce needs, and provide support of recruiting efforts

Here are the minimum requirements:



  • Minimum of (6) years of experience in the Right of Way industry

    • Must include working with OR within a state'sDepartment of Transportation
    • Must include two (2) years of managing projects


  • Experience managing Disaster Recovery Projects
  • Experience utilizing the Uniform Relocation Act
  • Experience overseeing projects totaling a minimum of $5 million
  • Experience effectively managing direct reports
  • Prior experience managing budgets and preparing reports on project financials
  • Must be proficient with MS Office Suite, specifically Excel, Word, Outlook, and Dropbox
  • Must have an iOS or Android smartphone to be able to access ORC's systems
  • Valid Driver's License



Bonus Pointsif you have aProject Management Professional (PMP) certification, prior sales, business development and/or proposal development experience

Physical Requirements: English language proficient.While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to clearly communicate and exchange information in person, via phone and email. Substantial repetitive movements of the wrists, hands and/or fingers due to high amounts of computer usage and typing. Expected to spend long spans of time in front of a computer screen. Able to read, understand and interpret department related documents and data. Able to make quick decisions, present to staff and clients, have difficult conversations and supervise staff. The employee is required to move about inside the office to access files, office equipment and to interact with other members of the staff. This role requires the employee to travel regularly to meet with clients or vendors which involves time driving; sometimes for long durations. While meeting with clients and vendors, will need to be outdoors traversing different types of landscapes.
