Naval Intelligence Specialist

Contingent upon Customer Approval

Purpose:


  • Valkyrie Enterprise is looking for multiple Navy Intelligence Specialists familiar at the operational and tactical levels of war in Surface, Air, Undersea, Cyber, Missiles (TBM/SAM), Unmanned systems, and C4ISR/Electronic Warfare areas, to fill the role of Military Operations Analyst.
  • The successful candidate will work as an integral part of the Navy Warfare Development Center (NWDC) N2 Information Warfare Directorate in Norfolk, VA



Job Description:



  • Position will work as an adversary subject matter expert.
  • Position will lead fleet staff war games and conduct senior leader briefs. The incumbent conducts qualitative research and analyses for war games, exercises, experiments and other events and studies managed by NWDC.
  • The position shall take a leading role developing and executing war games using processed/fused intelligence community assessments, intelligence briefings, operational reports, and intelligence databases. Incumbent leverages current intelligence reporting from classified and unclassified sources and accurately represents adversary/allied capabilities, weapon system, doctrine and tactics.
  • The position will liaise with external organizations to develop timely and accurate products to support multiple war games, exercises, and experiments.
  • The position will create scenario material including intelligence reporting, messaging, assessments, handbooks, primers, etc. used for operational and tactical level scenarios.
  • The position will provide operational level planning and tactical employment knowledge and intelligence support to the exercise control group for Fleet 360, Strike Group 360 and other related war games, experiments, and exercises.



Qualifications:


  • Must have 9 years relevant experience with a Bachelor's Degree in a related field; 7 years relevant experience with a Master's Degree in a related field; 4 years' experience with a PhD or JD in a related field; OR 13 years relevant experience with a HS diploma or equivalent

    • Educational requirements may be adjusted or waived for applicable work experience.
    • Work experience may be adjusted for highly specialized knowledge or uniquely applicable experience


  • Must have fleet operating, planning, and exercise experience
  • Must be proficient in MS Office applications and have advanced writing and briefing skills. Candidate will draft and deliver reports for senior officers and executive civilians
  • Must be able to work in a team and individual environment.


Desired Qualifications:


  • Experience in Maritime Operations Center as director (MOC-D), Battle Watch Captain (BWC), Future/Current Operations Planning (FOPS/COPS), preferred.
  • Experience working as adversary force(s) during war games or exercises, preferred.
  • Experience coordinating with other government agencies, intelligence organizations, or Maritime Intelligence Operations Center / Joint Intelligence Operations Center, combatant command, NATO, preferred.
  • Experience with public speaking and briefing senior leaders, preferred.
  • JSAF/JTLS experience or demonstrated modeling & simulation, preferred.


Security Requirements


  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance and be eligible for SCI access.


Travel Requirements:


  • 10-20% travel
  • If position requires travel by domestic flight or access to secure federal facilities/military bases, candidate must be able to obtain (by start of position) and maintain appropriate identification credentials, such as REAL ID. Physical Requirements:


  • Must be able to work in an office, industrial, or shipboard environment.
  • Be able to lift and move materials not to exceed the guidelines set for one-man lift.
  • Must be able to perform site surveys and carry a laptop computer.
