Position Summary The Supervisor Training Curriculum supports the College of Technical Operations by overseeing the development and maintenance of the Technical Operations training program. The Supervisor partners with JetBlue University teams and operational counterparts to identify and implement needed changes to the program. The Supervisor may also provide instruction and evaluations on an as-needed basis to support the college. Essential Responsibilities * Oversees the development and maintenance of College of Technical Operations curricula by established deadlines and in accordance with Instructional Systems Design and adult learning best practices. This includes the content of courseware materials for Technician training, online training, grade forms, etc. * Supervises assigned team members in their duties as curriculum development Subject Matter Experts. Sets expectations and delegates specific curriculum development and maintenance tasks to assigned project team as needed. * Consults with JetBlue University support teams, College of Tech Ops Leadership, and others to define project scope, goals, and deliverables. Ensures all stakeholders are informed about project status, timelines, issues and risks. * In coordination with Learning Design, develops and manages a systematic approach to Curriculum Development, including the appropriate Stakeholders, from intake through development, until final publication of courseware. * Achieve and maintain qualification(s) of an Instructor Maintenance. * Works with appropriate Stakeholders to secure technical support for courseware development, publication, distribution, and archiving. * Coordinates with College of Tech Ops Leadership and Training Scheduling regarding assignment of required curriculum team resources (such as team member schedules and simulator time for development/testing). * Coordinates with fleet College of Tech Ops Leadership on training standards as they apply to curriculum development and maintenance. * Performs other curriculum-related tasks as assigned by College of Tech Ops Leadership. * May provide training and/or evaluation in full flight simulators and flight training devices, if so qualified. * Be proficient and comply with applicable Safety Management System (SMS) processes, documentation and recordkeeping requirements. * Take a significant role in the development of crewmembers to support their engagement, growth, and goal achievement * Other duties as assigned Minimum Experience and Qualifications * High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) Diploma * Airframe & Powerplant License * Three (3) years of training experience * One (1) year of experience leading or managing projects with multiple stakeholders * Experience with education program management, adult learning principles and curriculum development * Experience with project management * Excellent written and verbal English communications skills * Available for occasional domestic and international overnight travel (10%) * Must be in possession of valid travel documents with the ability to travel in and out of the United States * Must pass a ten (10) year background check and pre-employment drug test * Must be legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located * Authorization to work in the US is required. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship Preferred Experience and Qualifications * Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Management, or a related field; OR demonstrated capability to perform job responsibilities with a combination of a High School Diploma/GED and at least four (4) years of previous related work experience * Five (5) years' experience leading a team in a fast-paced environment * Experience as a JetBlue Technician, or Instructor Maintenance * Three (3) years of leadership experience in a project management, or training environment * Three (3) years of curriculum/courseware/training material development experience * Expertise of adult learning principles, leadership development best practices, and related theories with the demonstrated ability to translate it into practical application Crewmember Expectations: * Regular attendance and punctuality * Potential need to work flexible hours and be available to respond on short-notice * Able to maintain a professional appearance * When working or traveling on JetBlue flights, and if time permits, all capable crewmembers are asked to assist with light cleaning of the aircraft * Must be an appropriate organizational fit for the JetBlue culture, that is, exhibit the JetBlue values of Safety, Caring, Integrity, Passion and Fun * Promote JetBlue's #1 value of safety as a Safety Ambassador, supporting JetBlue's Safety Management System (SMS) components, Safety Policy and behavioral standards * Identify safety and/or security concerns, issues, incidents or hazards that should be reported and report them whenever possible and by any means necessary including JetBlue's confidential reporting systems (Aviation Safety Action Program (ASAP) or Safety Action Report (SAR)) * The use of ChatGPT or any other automated tool during the interview process will disqualify a candidate from being considered for the position.
