Description

BlueHalo, an AV Company, has an immediate opening for a Program Manager to support the Flash and Laser Airborne Protection Systems (FLAPS) program. This position will be located at the Air Force Research Laboratory, Materials and Manufacturing Directorate's Photonic Materials Branch, at Wright Patterson Air Force Base, Dayton, OH.

The program involves developing aircrew eye protection to mitigate visual hazards, like flash blindness and laser glare, to ensure effective performance in contested environments. Technology development encompasses advanced filtering technologies across multiple wavelengths in the electromagnetic spectrum.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background and experience in overseeing projects, ensuring streamlined operations, and fostering a collaborative work environment. This role demands exceptional communication skills to convey complex information clearly and concisely to various technical and organization experience levels.

Responsibilities



  • Lead a dynamic team to advance technology in aircrew eye protection.
  • Oversee schedules, deliverables, and reporting to ensure successful program documentation and execution.
  • Conduct technical interchange meetings, track action items, and facilitate communication among stakeholders, government customers and contractor staff.
  • Support AF program management during meetings with stakeholders and sponsors, documenting strategic directions, funding consideration and assigned action items.
  • Manage daily coordination of the program, updating government customers, sponsors, contractor staff, and technical support subcontractors.
  • Provide proactive program management support to ensure both technology advancement and customer/sponsor satisfaction.
  • Address transition considerations such as pilot acceptance, cockpit compatibility, and support after deployment.


Required Qualifications

  • Due to security requirements, U.S. citizenship is required, and the candidate must be able to secure and hold a security clearance.
  • Bachelor's Degree with 8+ years of professional experience or Master's Degree with 6+ years of experience
  • 5-8 years of program management experience.
  • Exhibit high organizational and managerial expertise, efficiently coordinating multifaceted tasks, managing competing priorities, updating status reports and successfully leading teams.
  • Demonstrate exceptional verbal and written communication tailored to various audiences, including engineers, financial professionals, contract specialists, government program managers, and other stakeholders.
  • Proven success in supporting Air Force or other DoD programs.
  • Technical background in optics, engineering, or system integration.
