Division of Information Technology Job Description
This position is responsible for supporting and maintaining Oracle and MySQL database installations for the University of Missouri System. The main responsibilities for the position include the installation, upgrade and patching of the database software; backup and restore of the databases; maintaining database replication for disaster recovery purposes; troubleshooting performance and configuration issues; maintaining and customizing database monitoring solutions; and developing and implementing standardized reproducible methods for accomplishing all of the above. The position requires being in a 24x7 on call rotation and some off hours work. Shift

A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary. At least 2 years of experience in an IT field, preferably in Higher Education is required. Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Oracle and/or MySQL database administration. Experience reading and writing linux shell scripts.
