The University of Missouri School of Medicine Department of Anesthesiology

Job Description

The department of Anesthesiology in the School of Medicine is looking for a Business Support Specialist II.

The duties will include:

* Perform general department duties of answering department phones, collecting mail, backing up others in the office, and supporting the administrative faculty.
*Coordinate recruitment activities which include communicating with candidates, planning visits, preparing itinerary, making travel arrangements, and lunch arrangements
* Process supply orders/purchases and requisitions
* Prepare Expense Reports and track expense reimbursements for faculty and staff.
* Prepare routine correspondence; proofreading documents, obtaining signatures, and distributing documents accordingly for Department Chair, leadership faculty and department administrator.
* Manage entries into myVITA for Department Chair and other faculty, coordinate promotion of department faculty in myVITA PRT module and assist in the coordination annual faculty evaluation process.
* Prepare materials and perform ad-hoc tasks as requested by Depart Chair, Vice-Chairs, leadership team and department administrator
* Prepare request of funds, PO's and pay invoices for locum providers
* Assist department staff in the preparation of credentialing applications and supporting documents for all Department of Anesthesiology providers (40+ physicians and 100+ CRNAs/Advanced Practice Providers).
* Prepare daily/monthly OR schedules for physicians and CRNAs through QGenda and TigerConnect scheduling software.
* Perform general department duties of answering department phones, collecting mail, backing up others in the office, and supporting the administrative faculty.
* Perform other duties as assigned

Shift

Shift Type: Monday through Friday 8am - 5pm
Flexibility for Alternative Schedules: Yes

Minimum Qualifications

An Associate's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 2 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary.

Anticipated Hiring Range

Hiring Range: $17.05 - $23.00
