Summary of duties

The position involves conducting literature review and synthesis on the effects of urban forests on environmental cooling, writing up a report on the findings in preparation for submission to a peer-reviewed journal, and making one or two presentations to share those findings. The position will also involve some field work related to tree sampling. The field work will also require coordination with the appropriate authorities to obtain potential permits and ensure site access.

Tasks & Job Duties:

80% literature review, synthesis, and writing
10% field work
10% data analysis

Minimum requirements

BA/BS degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering, or related education and work experience in ecohydrology.

Pay and Benefits

Pay Range: $18-$19 per hour; depending on education/qualifications/experience.
