Description

The Lipscomb Academy Academic Support Program is seeking a dynamic individual to serve as the Student Success Coordinator. The Student Success Coordinator will work under the direction of the Director of Academic Support with identified students to coordinate the 504 process for eligible students, monitor compliance, and provide academic guidance, intervention, and support to students.

Job Duties



  • Have a working knowledge of current laws, regulations, and guidelines related to Section 504, as well as rules and guidelines adopted by the U.S. Department of Education's Office for Civil Rights (OCR).
  • Coordinate the 504 process for eligible students
  • Schedule meetings, notifying appropriate team members, and sending parental meeting notifications and procedural safeguards.
  • Oversee the implementation of 504 plan and is available to problem-solve when issues or concerns arise.
  • Schedule periodic reviews, according to the 504 plan timeline.
  • Provide accurate, accessible information about 504 to staff.
  • Provide on-site support to teachers and staff.
  • Providing annual, and as needed, training to staff.
  • Serve as a resource for eligible students.


Tasks



  • Monitor student progress to maximize student success
  • Facilitate appropriate responses to student needs
  • Conduct a regular schedule of student meetings to address student needs
  • Communicate proactively and ongoing with teachers regarding the specific needs of students
  • Provide in-class support to teachers as needed
  • Serve as a liaison between students, teachers, families, and tutors regarding services to meet the needs and enhance the academic success of students
  • Review and maintain accurate student records
  • Maintain the confidentiality of student education records. Student education records include all records, files, documents, and other materials that contain personally identifiable information on any student.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as requested by the Director of Academic Support.

Masters of Counseling Psychology (preferred)
Masters of Education (preferred)
